A Special Touch is a remake of a previous business with the same name, twenty-five years ago Lacie was the owner of A Special Touch Bridal Boutique located in the then Wards Plaza. Twenty years later, here we are again, in a different spot, but in the same plaza, now known as Rainer Square. Keeping the same name, A Special Touch is now a consignment and alterations boutique.

Jeff & Lacie  have been married for 27 years and with both close to retirement age decided it was time to leave behind the grind of corporate life, stop working for others, and invest in something that makes them both happy. Jeff has spent many years doing photography and will now put that talent to use in the store, selling many of the thousands of photos he has taken of the pacific northwest, and on his numerous travels. Lacie will be focusing on her love for sewing and creating. She will be offering alterations of all kinds, as well as custom sewing, design T-shirts, and yes even formalwear and bridal alterations. Lacie has been sewing both personally and professionally for 50 years, it really is her first love, and she is excited to be able to resume sewing again.

Cindy, Lacie’s sister, has been retired for several years. She enjoys making crafts, and helps at the store several times a week. Cindy brings many years of retail and bridal experience with her and will be an asset to A Special Touch!

Jenny, Jeff & Lacie’s daughter-in-law, is new to the fashion/retail industry and is extremely excited to learn all she can and be part of the business. Jenny is at the store helping wherever needed, Jenny’s devotion to helping allows Lacie time to focus on the sewing and alterations.

Marcie, the oldest of Jeff & Lacie’s 6 children, is married, and the mother of two children. Marcie is a stay-at-home mom, loves to read, and enjoys social media. Marcie is the brains behind the You Tube, Instagram and Facebook part of the business. Marcie will be keeping up with posting videos and pictures for the business, including going live in the store.
